Associate Director, Strategy

the West Coast.

What’s the role?

Huge is seeking a strong, insight driven Associate Director of marketing and communications strategy. In this role you will contribute your thinking across a diverse array of projects, whether it’s revamping a storied brand’s communications approach, launching a new product, or helping a client navigate organizational change or marketing transformation. You understand market forces, translate consumer needs into action and work with clients to help them transform into successful businesses of the modern economy, embracing digital and communications transformation as a central driver to future success. 

Specifically, this role will:

• Support building long-term, valuable relationships with our client’s users and customers and demonstrate how marketing can be used to drive business growth. 
• Lead and deliver marketing strategy, growth and innovation work in close partnership with creative, data, client services and project management teams across multiple lines of business.
• Be responsible for developing strategy deliverables and shaping ideas that help drive teams and clients to reach ambitious outcomes through communications, social, digital and brand strategy.
• Spend significant time with clients, gaining deep insight into client business problems and becoming a trusted thought partner and advisor to senior client executives.

Your work will not be limited to decks — at Huge, it’s critical to make things that humans will love. That means you must have a passion for working with Creative and Data crafts to define and create the right outcomes for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

• Work on cross-functional client and internal teams to integrate a cohesive, compelling vision to guide integrated and digital marketing strategies.
• Lead the  development of customer strategies and identify areas of opportunity. You’ll help build cases for ideas that produce growth, evolve our clients and drive advocacy for them in the market. 
• Be a key collaborator to creative teams, leading the development of inspired briefings, and providing strategic feedback throughout the creative process.
• Work closely with data teams to understand performance and generate insights, translating them into actionable outcomes. 
• Participate in pitches and business development.
• Partner with client services and project management to grow key relationships and ensure client satisfaction.

What we’d like to see.

• 8+ years leading strategic marketing initiatives that have demonstrably driven growth in an agency, media, consulting, or in-house role.
• Experience encompassing some or all of: working with research and data insights teams; building marketing and GTM plans; developing social, digital, brand and/or communications strategy.
• Innovative and analytical thinker comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity. 
• A self-starter who brings strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and program management capabilities. 
• Results- and detail-oriented, bringing expert-level written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively engage various stakeholders across levels and functions.
• Strong appreciation for storytelling and design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Key strategic experience includes:

• • Brand strategist with strong integrated chops and a desire to influence the entire go to market strategy
  • Digital or communications strategist who’s touched a lot of different aspects of marketing and want to keep experimenting
  • Social, content, or channel strategist who can think big picture above and beyond just one channel 
  • In-house product or brand marketing manager who knows how to translate objectives to messaging to go to market strategy

What’s a plus?

• Experience or personal passion for the gaming industry and an understanding of video game trends and culture 
• Familiarity with generative AI 
• Experience in media planning, buying, or collaborating with media teams
