As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights. 

Salary: $65-$75k/yr

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Normal Business Hours preferably EST)

Position Title: Accounts Receivable Team Lead

 

Job Summary:

AR Team Leader is responsible for day-to-day tasks related to billing and collections, overseeing teams of employees and motivating them to complete their job duties effectively. Their duties include day to day AR operations, training new employees and providing Team Members with daily objectives, developing and implementing communications to motivate employee productivity and collaborating with your direct manager to determine the best practices for meeting business/department team goals. Assists with monthly accounting close cycles and other ad hoc requests as directed, annual external audits, provide cross functional backup in accounting when needed and developing and maintaining the team business continuity plan.

 

Essential Functions:

AR Team Leader monitor accounts receivable team members’ participation to ensure everyone has proper training and provide any additional training if needed. They can have a wide variety of responsibilities outside of their mentorship role. Some important duties and responsibilities for a Team Leader can include:

  • Produce accurate and timely customer billing according to contract cycles.
  • Verify PO/SOW matches billing details prior to sending to customer.
  • Provide and save down all source documentation to support billing to meet customer requests and audit compliance.
  • Partner with internal teams to obtain accurate billing information. 
  • Manage and maintain AR collections process and monitor a daily cadence with team.
  • Provide weekly updates to direct manager on collections status and forecast expected payment dates.
  • Send collections escalation reporting requests to direct manager timely.
  • Generate AR subledger reconciliation at month-end close.
  • Hold monthly 1:1 meetings to coach/mentor/train team members.
  • Provide guidance on SMART goals for annual performance reviews and ensure company required trainings are completed.
  • Collaborate and develop strategies that team members can use to attain a project’s goal.
  • Assign tasks to team members and assist as needed to completion.
  • Determine the completion timeline and monitor progress to keep assigned projects on track and on schedule.
  • Communicate clear instructions to team members.
  • Manage the flow of day-to-day operations.
  • Create and distribute reports to update manager on the team’s progress.
  • Execute on ad hoc requests as directed by manager to support internal/external customers.
  • Work to improve AR processes and create efficiencies with integration projects and manage SOP development.
  • Maintain business continuity plan for AR team OOO backup.

 

Desired Experiences/Skills:

  • College education and 3+ years of experience in accounting specific to AR
  • Proficient in MS Suite programs (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams, etc)
  • Experience in Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Expensify and Quantum preferred
  • Strong computer/IT skills
  • Proven ability to complete work independently, accurately and with attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines effectively
  • Strong and proven team player and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to communicate effectively within the organization as remote employee
  • Possess positive attitude & team-player
  • Proven ability to be a strong and effective leader
  • Dedicated private workspace free from distractions
