Job description

About Neara

Neara is the first infrastructure resiliency platform. In 2024, we were named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies as well as Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list, and raised our Series C round. Our AI-powered software helps electric utilities tackle some of today’s thorniest global energy challenges, from increasing severe weather to unprecedented load growth, to ensure reliable, affordable, safe energy access for people all over the world. We’re a remote-first organization with teams spread across the United States, Europe, and Australia.

The Marketing Associate at Neara will own some of our highest-impact pipeline-building initiatives. You’ll also work closely with all members of the marketing team in contributing to and getting exposure to brand, comms, product marketing, ops and analytics, and demand generation.

About The Role

  • First-party event management: Oversee the strategic planning and tactical execution of in-person events, including content, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site presence when needed. Coordinate all details from budget tracking and promotional materials.
  • Conference management: Manage all aspects of our participation in international flagship conferences, from abstract drafting and submission to presentation logistics, happy hour and dinner events, booth logistics, etc.
  • Content production and website administration: Support publishing and last-mile details across content
  • Webinar logistics: Support webinar logistics, from coordinating RSVP reminder emails to recaps, reporting analytics, and content repurposing.
  • General Support Across Operations: Assist in day-to-day tasks that keep our team focused on goals, including some administrative tasks. Embrace the “TBD” nature of high-growth scale-up life, adapting to new challenges and opportunities as they arise.

About You

  • You’re equal parts big creative ideas and flawless execution — we’ll count on you to propose big splashy ideas and figure out how to bring them to fruition with attention to detail that is second to none.
  • You’re a big believer in the value of real-time connection, from webinars to in-person events
  • Your exceptional communication and project management skills are equally suited to engaging with customers to brainstorm compelling event content and handling the coordination details
  • You’re highly motivated by growing our events strategy into a key differentiator and also eager to get exposure to and support different aspects of overall marketing strategy
