The Opportunity

  • Promote the Vituity Mission, Vision and Values to ensure a strong divisional culture.
  • Develop and achieve divisional strategy, goals, priorities, and key performance indicators (KPIs) supporting the organization's strategic plan.
  • Mentor and empower the divisional leadership team to drive organizational and divisional strategy and achieve KPIs.
  • Facilitate an integrated divisional leadership team and ensure oversight of practice lines while ensuring the Practice Line Vice President and Practice. Line Business Partners remain accountable and responsible for outcomes.
    • Facilitate an integrated divisional operations team that includes clinical and business leadership representatives from all practice lines within the division and Growth.
    • Maintain awareness of each practice line's operational performance metrics via divisional dashboard and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensure solid bidirectional communication across all aspects of the Division.
  • Promote and support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives throughout the Division.
  • Plan and execute divisional meetings.
  • Partner with People Operations to manage people operations/human resources requirements such as FTE changes, evaluation process, and anything pertaining to people operations policies.
  • Oversee Leadership Development Program components within the division to ensure organizational focuses and strategies are included. Partner with leadership and development workgroup to identify education opportunities and leadership development alignment.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing across divisions teams to strengthen programs/initiatives, optimize resource utilization, and standardize practices to achieve improved quality of care.
  • Align and manage divisional operational resources.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Team to cultivate ideas and explore solutions to challenging problems affecting sites.
  • Promote innovation initiatives (i.e., innovation grant, transformational pilots, etc.) to ensure best practices are diffused across divisions.
  • Provide support to Regional Directors and sites to maximize operational efficiencies to ensure profitability and oversee initiatives to address site under-performance.
  • Ensure all practices lines provide meaningful value to the clients.
  • Oversee site financial incentives and monitoring to ensure maximum financial achievement.
  • Oversee CEO survey results for division, focusing on problem areas identified and connecting identified expansion opportunities for internal and external growth.
  • Support contract renewals and follow up with Regional Directors for timely submissions.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable compensation matrix for new contracts and contract addendums.
  • Collaborate closely with the Growth team. Support Vituity Health System Strategy (executive engagement, growth, operational excellence) and system specific initiatives and priorities.
  • Actively participate in the request for proposal (RFP) process for expected contracts within the division.
  • Ensure a successful and standardized startup process including site support, integration of new practice lines at a current site, integration of Practice
  • Administrators when appropriate, supporting the onboarding of new Medical Directors, etc.
  • Share any potential external growth opportunities.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train management-level staff.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Establish accountability goals for direct reports.
  • Lead, direct, and review the work of team members to accomplish program initiatives, operational plans, and results within schedule and budget.
  • Provide primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports, including the hiring or firing of employees, in accordance with organization guidelines.

Required Experience And Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline related to the duties of the position, and eight (8) years of progressively responsible related work experience required.
  • Six (6) years of experience in a mid- to senior-level management capacity required. Or, a combination of education and experience for a combined 14 years that demonstrates the attainment of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute for the education requirement required.
  • Experience in health care, physician practice management, and multi-location operations required.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Administration or related field preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to generate consensus in decisions and encourage creativity and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to communicate effectively and persuasively at all levels.
  • Strong grounding in healthcare management ideally encompassing both hospital-based management experience and physician practice management.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change including identifying and supporting change agents, demonstrating accountability, and ownership of execution and results.
  • Understanding of the physician's clinical, management, and leadership roles in the healthcare environment to assist the physician group clients in developing a competitive advantage in their marketplace.
  • Proven ability to design and implement new programs, transform care delivery, and diversify revenue.
  • Ability to motivate and develop the potential of others.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to bring teams together to develop and implement programs.
  • Ability to maximize the effectiveness of teams to provide the highest-level quality of service possible.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $161,891.25 - $215,855, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company's annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
