Footlocker Inc is currently recruiting an experienced Product Manager who will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of product information management initiatives and other advanced analytics capabilities.
This critical role will own the strategic vision, development, and execution of solutions that optimize data accuracy, governance, and scalability. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in product management, a strong technical foundation, and a track record of leading cross-functional teams in delivering impactful solutions for complex retail ecosystems. This individual collaborates with business partners and subject-matter experts to solve complex problems and drive successful outcomes.
The role collaborates with their pod and relevant stakeholders to translate the product vision and mission into a roadmap that drives objective key results while considering organizational milestones, capacity constraints, and dependencies. The candidate will also be expected to build and manage strategic partnerships with other teams in the organization to drive overall delivery effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a forward-thinking product strategy and vision for product information management (PIM) and other advanced data and/ or analytics initiatives. Ensure products align with Foot Locker’s business objectives, goals for data governance, omni-channel excellence, and customer experience.
Lead Agile Pods: Support agile methodologies, focusing on delivery and value creation against aligned objectives and key results (OKRs). Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into measurable outcomes.
Roadmap Development: Create and manage a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines prioritized features, enhancements, and innovates for our product information management (PIM) and other advanced data and/ or analytics capabilities.
Product Development: Lead end-to-end product development processes from concept to launch ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery of advanced data products. Establish robust frameworks for data governance, accuracy, and standardization to support enterprise decision-making and operational efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on product goals and roadmap priorities. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, merchandising and other departments to develop innovative solutions that meet technical and business requirements.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, assess the competitive landscape, and uncover customer needs that can be best impacted by product information management (PIM) and other advanced data and/ or analytics capabilities.
Customer Insights: Deeply understand internal and external customer behaviors, preferences, and pain points through user research, data analysis, and direct interactions and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
Performance Metrics: Define and track objectives and key results (OKRs) for domain. . Regularly assess product performance and iterate on strategies to drive growth and impact. Continuously evaluate the product roadmap to ensure delivery of measurable business value.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, progress and insights to executive leadership, stakeholders, and relevant teams within the organization.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on product information management or adjacent capabilities.
Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of product information management technology (PIM), predictive analytics, demand forecasting, and similar domains. Familiarity with retail, ecommerce, merchandising, planning, and allocation industry trends and best practices is highly preferred.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically, define product strategies, and translate business needs into technical requirements that drive business outcomes.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and inspire others to achieve product goals. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and build strong working relationships across the organization. Act as the primary advocate for PIM capabilities within the organization, ensuring alignment and buy-in from all key stakeholders.
Results-Driven: A track record of delivering successful product launches and achieving measurable results.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
Benefits
The annual base salary range is $107000 - $130000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
