As the Digital Content Coordinator you’ll play a key role in planning and creating inspiring digital content that builds Dan Murphy’s reputation as the go-to drinks destination for young Australians. 

Are you someone who lives and breathes social media? Can spot TikTok trends before they become mainstream? A natural with social media editing tools who has a strong creative eye? Thrives in a fast paced environment supported by a close knit team? This role is for you. 

Reporting to the Content Marketing Manager, the Digital Content Coordinator will support the development and execution of Dan Murphy’s social marketing strategy in line with the brand’s DNA and business objectives, as well as be responsible for other team administrative tasks. From social content calendar planning, content creation (including copywriting) and scheduling; to agency briefings, post campaign reporting and community management, this role is core to supporting the growth of our social media channels - Instagram, Facebook & YouTube.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Work closely with marketing to intrinsically understand the brand and our key jobs to be done and translate this into engaging content for our social channels
  • Create social-first content and campaigns (organic, paid and influencer) that connect with customers, drive brand love and distinguishes Dan’s from its competitors. 
  • Collaborate with marketing channels and broader business areas to amplify key marketing, business, category and trade messaging 
  • Complete administrative tasks including content team invoicing product ordering for photography shoots and influencer gifting
  • Prepare post activity reporting to share internally and with suppliers

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • Experience in marketing (2+ years), even better if you've worked within retail, drinks, lifestyle, fashion, or lifestyle brands, or as part of an agency.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in business and/or marketing.
  • Confident with writing and developing social media content and copy.
  • A tech genius with every editing app possible, who lives & breathes social and you're always on top of the next emerging trend.
  • Passion for content marketing with a great eye for socials and strong visual aesthetic.
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Hands-on, comfortable rolling up your sleeves, with an ability to adapt quickly to situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the Australian social media landscape including content creators, influencers.
  • Experience working with social insights tools.
  • A personal vehicle and drivers license are required for this role, to support with shoots and other ad-hoc duties.
