Your Role
Job Description:
Minimum of half year of experience working with AWS services, including but not limited to:
AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS (Aurora MySQL), DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and SQS.
We are seeking a part-time AWS Cloud Engineer (student contractor) to work approximately 1/2 to 1/3 of full-time hours. You will work remotely with flexible afternoon hours, making it easy to align with your studies. This role offers hands-on experience with key AWS services and modern development practices. Gain valuable international experience working for a US-based company with this unique opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Infrastructure & Deployment:
Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions.
Configure API Gateway endpoints to support data ingestion.
Manage essential AWS services including Amazon S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
Data Processing:
Build and maintain pipelines for ingesting and transforming digital engagement data.
Ensure data flows efficiently and securely through our AWS environment.
Security & Monitoring:
Apply secure practices using AWS IAM roles and policies.
Monitor system performance and logs via Amazon CloudWatch.
Operational Excellence:
Participate in CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Continuously learn and apply emerging AWS technologies and best practices.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Basic (6+ months) experience or coursework in AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
Familiarity with serverless architectures and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., using tools like CloudFormation).
Basic JavaScript coding skills for working with AWS APIs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage flexible work hours.
