Join SquaredUp! We're seeking an exceptional Principal Backend Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you'll be a key architect, designing, implementing, and maintaining the high-performance backend systems that power our cutting-edge SaaS application.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership

• Design and implement complex, high-impact backend features
• Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and security
• Leverage serverless infrastructure on AWS

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Partner with frontend, product, and design teams
• Guide and inspire junior engineers
• Establish best practices for backend development

Innovation & Growth

• Evaluate and champion new technologies
• Drive continuous learning and improvement

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven Backend Expertise: You possess extensive experience in backend software development and have a mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Cloud knowledge: You speak the language of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understand their SaaS-based services like the back of your hand.
• Project Ownership: You thrive in taking ownership of projects, driving them to completion with exceptional quality.
• Serverless experience: The world of serverless architecture holds no secrets for you.
