Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant III will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Security Officer and her direct reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling meetings, preparing and submitting expense reports, and performing other administrative duties as assigned. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information.

This position is 100% remote, with intermittent onsite support at Reston VA HQ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Chief Security Officer and her direct reports, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities of all new hires into the security department.
  • Coordinate anniversaries and other forms of recognition.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for all CSO direct reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage the CSO's calendar, including arranging travel itineraries and accommodations.
  • Assist with the preparation of documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for easy access to important documents
  • Support in the planning and execution of team events and functions.
  • Provide general administrative support such as placing orders.
  • Conduct research and gather information as required for various projects.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the overall functionality of the security department.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret clearance.
  • High School and five (5) years or more related experience.
  • Must be willing to be available 24/7 for on-call duties in order to uphold our commitment to continuous operational readiness, which includes providing SAIC a mechanism for which to contact you. Flexible schedules are available on a case by case basis with supervisor approval. In addition, candidate must be willing to provide on-site support commensurate with the duties as assigned.
  • Must have expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including MS Teams.
  • Prior experience working as an Administrative Assistant supporting Executives.
