Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting a Sr Manager of Service Marketing (upstream), within our MedTech Surgery organization. The preferred location for this position is Santa Clara, CA. Remote work may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Reporting to the Head of Service Commercialization, MT Surgery, the
Senior Manager, Service Marketing (Upstream) will be responsible for creating a value-based Service Offering portfolio, providing market and business input requirements to internal teams, and implementing business growth strategies and key commercialization tactics for the OTTAVA robotic system. This role supports commercial opportunities to advance brand growth, ensuring regional alignment with the strategy and execution of business plans, and engagement in brand pipeline innovation for the OTTAVA Service Solutions business.
In this role, you will (including but not limited to):
- Define and validate the OTTAVA Service multi-release roadmap including the cadence of features aligned with OTTAVA strategic objectives and criteria for each launch phase (including indications and geographies).
- Collaborate with Ottava Global Strategic Marketing to ensure Service product value proposition, product positioning and pricing strategies, evidence generation & claims, VOC & Insights to inform brand strategy, life cycle management, and business development strategies are in alignment with product development timelines and strategic goals.
- Assess the strategic position of OTTAVA Service Solutions products in the marketplace and work in close collaboration with OTTAVA Global Strategic Marketing to ensure Service products are developed in with the global customer product serviceability and service program needs in mind.
- Support the execution of OTTAVA Service Solutions global service product strategy, in alignment with global Service Commercialization Guidelines.
- Be responsible for identifying and developing regional, national, and global reference sites and KOLs, understanding customer buying criteria (service) & insights that inform brand strategy and pipeline development.
- Partner with R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Sales, Regional Marketing, Finance, Legal/HCC and key customers to accelerate the brand strategy and provide direction for global growth opportunities.
- Lead creation of OTTAVA Service Solutions materials for the global launch playbook for the OTTAVA robotic system and drive successful regional launch of Service products. Parnter with regional marketing teams to adapt Service product messages or create new segment messaging as needed, ensuring compliance with all relevant country and regional requirements, company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Grow and manage the Service Solutions Upstream Marketing team as the OTTAVA Service Solutions business scales.
- Drive service sales enablement to meet the global business targets of increased market share, volume, and profitability, leveraging JnJ’s Launch Excellence (LEX) framework.
- Achieve financial targets within specified budgets and timeframes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred
Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive business experience in sales, service, or business management is required. Service business marketing experience preferred.
- Medical Device marketing experience is desired. Medical Robotics service marketing experience is preferred.
- Experience in product launch from product development, including needs assessment, portfolio management, new opportunity assessment, and product lifecycle management, is required.
- Service and subscription offering design is required.
- Ability to provide executive level business cases and financial assessments is required.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams is required.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent cross-functional and management influencing skills and the ability to develop customer relationships are required.
- Proven track record of working in a global organization is preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and using customer insights is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building and implementing marketing strategy is preferred.
- Proficiency using Salesforce, MS Office required; experience with MS Dynamics, SAP, Agile, and other business systems common in medical device preferred.
Other:
- The anticipated base pay salary range for this role is $153,000 to $207,000
- For candidates based out of the Bay Area, CA. the anticipated base pay salary range is $175,950 to $238,050
- This position will be based out of Santa Clara, CA and may require up to 30% travel, including short-term international travel.
