Position: Sr. Systems Engineer
Location: Remote in the United States
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing data validation, verification, solution deployment and operational support.
 
Job Requirements:
Essential Skills: 
  • 5+ Year experience as a systems engineer or similar job duties
  • Current working knowledge and extensive experience with Red Hat Linux Operating Systems 
  • Excellent knowledge of OS aspects, particularly relating to disk & filesystem use and IP networking management. 
  • GIT source control 
  • Python / Bash scripting 
  • Functional Testing experience and knowledge of concepts 
  • Experienced with HTTP, and common data transfer mechanisms, formats such as JSON, CSV. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • Experience with setting up, and maintaining Grafana visualizations 
  • Understanding of cellular network architectures, concepts and phraseology  
  
Nice to have: 
  • Experience in Cloud Computing, Kubernetes Orchestration, and AWS Infrastructure Management 
  • Atlassian software development suite experience:  
    • Bitbucket (or Jenkins) build pipeline experience  
    • Confluence for technical documentation  
      • Jira for ticketing and logging of issues  
    • Understanding of cellular network derived location intelligence concepts  
    • Experience with more advanced diagnostic tools such as:  
      • Valgrind  
      • GDB  
      • Wireshark  
    • C++ or C# .NET software development experience
