Description


Position Overview:

Under the direction of the VP East & Strategic Accts, the Senior Strategic Accounts Manager is someone who performs a variety of sales related duties targeted at designated Strategic Accounts and provides sales support in accordance with company policies and procedures. This is a not a supervisory position


Responsibilities:

Sales Related:  

  • Be the main contact for and manage relationships with designated Strategic Accounts national offices. These will primarily be within the large club chain account segments.  
  • Strategic planning for growth of Matrix brand in other potential Strategic Accounts. 
  • Coordinate implementation of strategies and/or tactical execution with key stakeholders including VP of Strategic Accounts and Executive VP of Sales.
  • Monitor the new opportunities volume each month and total pipeline of all designated accounts opportunities 
  • Provide Product Management with product, market and customer feedback/information
  • Regularly provide management with accurate reports
  • Travel to various customer meetings and product installations as required
  • Provide post product installation support
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Follow all related procedures & policies
  • Attend periodic industry trade shows which usually require travel
Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education such as an associate’s degree with combination of experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of industry experience as a proven producer required
  • Sales forecasting and reporting capability required
  • Working knowledge of the commercial fitness industry; dues paying facilities and/or vertical market required
  • Established relationships with designated strategic accounts preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer required
  • Software experience with CRM (SFDC), Auto Sketch or similar preferred
  • Driver’s license required with acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for customer site visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.

  • Sales forecasting and reporting capability
  • Knowledge of sales processes and ability to follow established sales procedures and policies
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of initiative and a sense of urgency, demonstrated by accomplishing tasks; improving current work processes; and assisting others when necessary
