As a National Account Manager for Small Store, you will be responsible for a specified market and is uniquely positioned for an ambitious leader who is craving full ownership and accountability for our products and customers within the assigned Accounts. This is not a traditional sales role. We are searching for a candidate who shows a high level of ownership for their business and is adept at selling solutions and has a proven ability to win new business. We are seeking a candidate who is eager to be a leader, influencer and activator with internal and external key stakeholders from the first day on the job.
This role is preferably based in the Midwest to enhance customer connectivity and ensure stronger engagement with key accounts. However, highly qualified candidates in other locations will also be considered.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
· Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and Kraft Heinz Sales organization.
· Develop a deep understanding of both Foodservice and Retail businesses, with a focus on beverage and operator-level execution.
· Tailor programs that align with customer strategies while delivering strong results and meeting business sector expectations.
· Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, ownership of decisions, and a commitment to grit, perseverance, and execution.
· Communicate effectively through strong verbal and written skills, demonstrating expertise in presentations, influencing, and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
· Leverage financial acumen to drive P&L management and business profitability.
· Confidently lead meetings, including those with C-suite customers, showcasing strong presentation and executive communication skills.
· Think critically and creatively to learn new concepts and solve complex business challenges.
· Develop, track, analyze, and evaluate business plans based on AFH priorities, customer strategies, and external market factors to drive profitability.
· Grow Kraft Heinz’s business with customers through revenue generation, share gains, EBITA improvements, and successful product introductions.
· Influence and drive the execution of business plans by collaborating across key functions, including Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Legal, Marketing, and R&D.
· Optimize trade programs to ensure efficient and effective investment returns.
· Foster innovation by challenging both internal and external teams to generate creative ideas and capitalize on business opportunities.
· Lead Joint Business Planning efforts with strategic customers to drive long-term growth and partnership success.
Expected Experience & Required Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
· 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in foodservice, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a related industry. Prior sales experience required with a demonstration of major account management resulting in profitable volume, customer penetration, attainment of new business and growth.
· Experience in convenience operators, QSR, culinary, and/or retail industry preferred.
· Experience in collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales operations teams.
· Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster long-term partnerships with distributors, brokers, operators, and key decision-makers.
· Command of business acumen and strong business intuition demonstrated by discernment that not every sales opportunity is equal and a track record of securing profitable volume and walking away from less profitable deals.
· Strong analytical skills demonstrated by previous experience utilizing systems for tracking and recording sales, effective business planning and data-driven strategy for maintaining current and securing new customers.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrated by effective presentation, influence, and advanced negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed (e.g., delivering customer samples, etc.).
· Must have a valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements.
· Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time for in-person engagements with customers, distributors, and internal teams, as needed.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a remote-based role that can be performed from a home office, with travel required based on business needs. The position follows a salaried, exempt schedule, allowing flexibility to meet customer and internal expectations, which may include occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends. Regular domestic travel within the assigned geographic territory is expected, including overnight trips as necessary. The role requires in-person engagement with customers, distributors, and internal teams to drive business objectives effectively. To support travel needs, this position is eligible for a company-provided vehicle or a car allowance.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$102,100.00 - $127,600.00Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
