Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Head of Payments Sales. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a high-impact sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth, expand market penetration, and optimize sales performance for our payment processing solutions.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales leader with deep expertise in B2B payments, fintech, or SaaS sales, possessing a proven track record of scaling revenue, building high-performing teams, and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

o    Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share for EverPro’s Payments Division. Improve productivity, both in volume and overall customer lifetime value, through our land and expand sales process

o    Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs to drive sales success.

o    Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize go-to-market strategies and align sales efforts with broader business objectives.

o    Develop and generate reporting to track all key payments sales metrics for the organization, including forecasting and pipeline management.

o    Optimize lead gen practices and manage territory planning.

Leadership & Team Management
o    Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
o    Set clear performance metrics, coach team members, and implement sales enablement initiatives to maximize productivity.
o    Drive a data-driven sales culture by leveraging key sales performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics to inform decision-making.

Customer Acquisition & Market Expansion
o    Develop and nurture relationships with key clients, industry partners, and enterprise accounts to establish EverPro Payments as a market leader.
o    Lead strategic enterprise and mid-market sales efforts, driving adoption of payment processing solutions across multiple industries.
o    Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine value propositions, sales messaging, and competitive positioning.

Operational Excellence & Sales Process Optimization
o    Implement and optimize sales processes, tools, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to improve efficiency and pipeline management.
o    Establish and refine pricing models, contract negotiations, and deal structures to drive profitability and scalability.
o    Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
o    Oversee the management of daily and weekly activities, pipeline analysis, and forecasting efforts to ensure predictable top-line growth trajectory in line with company goals.
o    Provide sales team with proper metrics, averages and foresight on KPI’s to measure success.
o    Work closely with finance and operations teams to develop key operating assumptions & growth plans for the business.

Qualifications & Experience

•    10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within B2B payments, fintech, SaaS, or financial services industries. 

•    Proven track record of scaling sales organizations, driving revenue growth, and achieving aggressive sales targets.

•    Experience managing small/mid-market sales cycles, with a strong ability to navigate complex deals.

•    Strong expertise in payments processing, merchant services, or embedded finance solutions.

•    Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing, geographically distributed sales teams.

•    Strong negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills.

•    Experience working in high-growth, PE-backed, or publicly traded SaaS companies.

•    Background in partner/channel sales strategies and business development.

•    Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting payments and financial services.

Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States– if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role will require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.
