PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $18 - $25/hr hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA. If you’re located within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & WednesdaysFor those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE 

 
As an Enterprise Project Intern at BECU, you’ll be a key contributor to supporting and executing projects that drive business objectives. You’ll assist in planning, coordinating, and managing initiatives under the guidance of senior project managers, gaining valuable hands-on experience in stakeholder collaboration, process improvement, and project execution. Your role will help streamline workflows and enhance efficiency while providing you opportunities to grow your project management skills and contribute to meaningful initiatives. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

 

  • Gather and Refine Requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to capture high-level requirements and refine them through ongoing collaboration, ensuring alignment with business needs. 

  • Support Project Governance: Participate in steering committee meetings as needed, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and best practices. 

  • Define Business Outcomes and Scope: Clearly document objectives and scope to set up projects for success and ensure alignment with business goals. 

  • Guide and Support the Team: Lead project teams through planning, execution, and implementation, providing clear direction and support throughout the project lifecycle. 

  • Develop Work Plans: Create structured work plans for projects, features, and initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with business priorities. 

  • Follow Project Management Methodology: Apply BECU’s project management framework to all projects, maintaining consistency and quality in execution. 

  • Maintain Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all project artifacts meet documentation standards and audit requirements, keeping records accurate and up to date. 

  • Manage Project Financials: Provide input on budgeting, forecasting, and reconciling actuals against projections, ensuring financial accountability. 

  • Coordinate Resource Planning: Organize and communicate project resource needs, including internal teams and external partners. 

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with various departments to align efforts, coordinate dependencies, and ensure projects move forward without roadblocks. 

  • Identify and Resolve Challenges: Proactively identify obstacles, solve problems creatively, and remove barriers to keep projects on track. 

  • Facilitate Communication and Coordination: Manage project communications, schedules, and dependencies, ensuring seamless collaboration among stakeholders. 

  • Ensure Smooth Implementation: Develop release plans, document go-live activities, and provide ongoing support post-implementation. 

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency. 

  • Seek Growth and Mentorship: Continuously develop your skills by seeking coaching, feedback, and opportunities to take on more responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Computer Science or equivalent work or educational experience required. 

  • Knowledge of leading projects or serving in a project management type of role.
