Job description

POS-4695

HubSpot helps millions of organizations globally grow better – but we don’t do it alone. We are stronger, more flexible, and more powerful with our trusted network of partners, providers, and educators who offer services, solutions, and support. Completing our AI-powered customer platform, this is the HubSpot ecosystem.

As Principal Product Marketing Manager on Platform Marketing focused on the App Marketplace, you will drive the overarching strategy & campaigns for how to embed apps across our suite of products.

This includes release marketing, competitive analysis, feature prioritization, go-to-market (GTM) planning and execution, and other product marketing initiatives for apps.

You'll represent the product, showcase its value, and help grow a strong user base. In this cross-functional role, you'll collaborate with teams like product, marketing, legal, partnerships, and more to execute successful launches. We're seeking an experienced product marketer with a strong ownership mindset and proven success ideating and executing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of apps.

In this role, you’ll:

  • GTM: Develop & orchestrate campaigns to drive adoption of apps, collaborating with PMM to incorporate apps per persona in our bi-annual Spotlights.
    • Bring to life new marketing content and messaging for overall product lines and thematic campaigns.
    • Run quarterly campaigns on  new & updated apps.
    • Identify and publish customer stories to support campaigns
  • Positioning/Messaging: Craft clear product messaging and positioning for HubSpot-built & partner-built apps. Lead release marketing for HubSpot-built apps. You help shape the overall narrative and how we bring a cohesive message to market that resonates with existing and new HubSpot developers.
  • Customer & Market Research: Understand customer needs and market trends to identify customer pain points and recommendation of how apps can help/compliment products.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign & channel performance to refine marketing strategies & recommend new ones.
  • Work Cross-Functionally: Work across product, partnerships, and marketing teams to drive connected campaigns/outcomes for our customers. Own & drive cross-functional projects to completion.
  • Opportunity to interface with app partners to help with copromotion of campaigns

We are looking for people who have:

  • A history and track record of not just working cross functionally but organizing and leading cross-functional project teams to deliver impactful go-to-market launches.
  • General understanding of integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience in product marketing and GTM strategy for a SaaS or Product Led Growth technology company.
  • Data-driven and comfortable measuring impact of efforts to iterate as needed to drive impactful results.
  • Skilled storyteller and customer-centric in your approach to marketing.
  • Can interpret usage data or market research to make decisions and recommendations.
  • Great project management skills including strong communication around project timelines, responsible individuals, and status.
  • An owner’s mindset; with high personal accountability - able to work independently to drive projects and initiatives and understand and anticipate the needs of your portfolio.
  • Coachable/self-aware– you understand your areas of strength and growth and are hungry to learn and improve.
