Position Summary:

The Director of Finance will oversee all financial activities, ensuring the company’s financial health and strategic growth. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management within a service-based, global organization.  The candidate must have strong analytical skills and knowledge and experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance while providing leadership to the finance team as a whole.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth, cost efficiency, and profitability.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and global regulatory requirements while managing financial risk.
  • Manage cash flow, revenue recognition, and expense controls
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO/CCO/COO, providing financial insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Oversee tax planning, debt structuring, and risk management, ensuring financial security and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain financial systems, ERP tools, and internal controls to ensure scalability and accuracy.
  • Manage international financial operations, including multi-currency transactions, transfer pricing, and global taxation compliance.
 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or CMA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a leadership role for a service-based or global company.  
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and accounting principles.
  • Strong expertise in corporate banking, including LOCs, debt structuring, and cash flow management.
  • Experience with international transactions, multi-currency accounting, and global finance operations. 
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite, and ERP systems). 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment. 
  • Experience structuring and negotiating financial terms in large-scale service contracts.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of financial reporting and compliance requirements for remote, globally distributed teams.
 

Physical Requirements: 

  • This is a remote position, however, it may require in-office attendance for designated meetings, training sessions, and occasional travel to other worksites as needed.  
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, etc.  
  • Strong visual acuity for reviewing detailed documents and data on computer screens.
  • Manual dexterity for operating a computer, including the use of a keyboard and mouse. 
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry office supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds. 
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members across the organization
  • Flexibility to adjust schedules based on project needs, with occasional requests for additional hours during temporary projects.  
  • Capability to manage tasks that require prolonged periods of focus and concentration. 
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of a standard workweek, which may include occasional overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, if needed.
