Motion is growing fast (3x YoY), our product is sticky and we recently raised $30M in Series B funding. We doubled our customers as well as our headcount in 2024, and have just over 50 team members.

We’ve built a new category of software to bridge the gap between performance marketers and creative teams. Our platform combines creative analytics, research, and strategy. Motion is the command center for Creative Strategists.
Our customers are top ecom and DTC brands like Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, HexClad, and thousands more. They’ve used Motion to analyze over $13B in media spend.
About The Role
We are seeking an AI Conversation Designer to help us build the next generation of creative strategists.
In this role you will craft seamless and engaging conversational experiences that make Motion’s AI tools indispensable for Creative Strategists. You’ll work at the intersection of technology, user behavior, and creative strategy, designing prompt chains and workflows that feel intuitive, insightful, and human-like.This role calls for someone product-minded with a deep understanding of prompt engineering and a passion for understanding how creative strategists think and work.

What You’ll Do
Design AI-driven interactions: Develop, test, and refine prompt chains that provide actionable insights and streamline creative workflows.
Collaborate with industry leaders: Join calls with creative strategists and experts to understand their needs, challenges, and processes.
Research and refine: Analyze user behavior, evaluate feedback, and iterate designs to optimize the AI’s performance and usability.
Bridge the technical and the creative: Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure the conversational flows align with Motion’s broader goals and values.
Educate and advocate: Develop internal resources to help the team leverage AI capabilities and foster a shared understanding of conversational best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Expertise in AI and conversation design: Strong knowledge of prompt engineering, NLP, and building effective AI workflows.
Product-minded approach: Ability to deeply understand the needs of Creative Strategists and align AI interactions with Motion’s mission.
Exceptional communication: Strong writing skills to craft succinct, user-friendly dialogues and an ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
Research-driven mindset: Curiosity and rigor in studying user behavior, with the ability to translate insights into impactful designs.
Collaborative and adaptable: Comfortable working across teams and thriving in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Preferred Experience
Background in journalism, copywriting, or similar fields emphasizing clarity and engagement.
Experience in marketing or creative industries (especially those with experience at agencies)
A proven track record of building user-centric designs in ambiguous or emerging spaces.
