Supervise daily activities of the Accounts Payable Teams with oversight of 3+ direct reports. Own and champion the team’s processing deliverables, and work with the team to achieve quality and service goals. Ensure the daily workload is efficiently managed to meet overall expectations and service deliverables.
AT SONDER YOU WILL:
Supervise associates to include, but not limited to, staffing, training, coaching, performance management, analysis and problem resolution.
Identify and drive process improvements and change to increase efficiencies that reduce turnaround time, increase accuracy and overall internal and external customer satisfaction.
Develop, own and maintain metrics/reporting/dashboard to ensure relevant AP metrics are achieved or exceeded. Monitor workflow queues, prioritize and distribute workload necessary to meet or exceed metrics.
Business owner for any tool or technology implementation to drive operational efficiencies
Research, analyze, and audit vendor invoices processing, payments, and accounting entries
Promote and foster strong trusting relationships and be the escalation point for internal customers and vendors to ensure accurate/timely processing of the financial obligations of the company.
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Assist with month end close out to ensure reports are accurate
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
3+ years Accounts Payable experience within a shared service environment with high transactional volume
Windows based programs and Microsoft Office Suite experience (Intermediate Excel skills)
Expertise or significant exposure to major ERP Application (i.e. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Meticulous attention to detail is a must
Ability to write and maintain reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various interested parties.
Business acumen and customer service oriented demeanor; written and verbalMust be self-motivated and self-directed
Experienced working in a team setting
Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and meet short deadlines
Must have great organizational and multi-tasking skills
PREFERRED:
4-6 years Accounts Payable experience within a shared service environment with high transactional volume
Previous experience as a team lead or supervisory role in Accounts Payable
