About the Role
As the Recruiting Manager for a large, national language services program, you will play a crucial role in the ultimate success of the program by leading a recruiting team which continually identifies, attracts, vets, and hires thousands of professionally qualified and certified interpreters. This position requires a strategic mindset and hands-on approach to developing recruitment strategies, managing the end-to-end hiring process, and collaborating with operation and quality leads to understand the contract workforce needs. You will lead and manage a team of recruiters, provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and continuous development. Additionally, you will work to optimize the candidate’s experience, and ensure we are building a high-performing national interpreter pool which aligns with our clients’ requirements and goals. Your ability to balance innovative sourcing methods with data-driven decision-making will be key to driving successful hiring outcomes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop optimal interpreter candidate sourcing strategies: understand and utilize job posting sites/linguist associations/and other strategies which will enhance our ability to find qualified interpreter candidates.
- Recruiting Performance Monitoring: monitor, evaluate, and continually improve TPG’s ability to recruit thousands of interpreters in +200 languages in different locations around the country.
- Client Management: work with hiring managers, group or organization leads, and other key stakeholders to understand recruiting needs and develop strategies to meet hiring goals.
- Candidate Management: lead the recruiting team in developing and executing sourcing plans to identify and recruit people with skills matching the hiring needs and creating relationships with candidates to facilitate the process.
- Reporting: Collaborate with the Quality Manager to maintain an electronic Master File for each interpreter containing their resume, certifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Support this contract with requisition management processes and ensure the most up to date requirements and locations are included on all job postings.
- Onboard and train new recruiters and recruitment support staff.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to members of the recruitment team.
- Work closely with Director of Talent Acquisition to ensure consistency with multiple data sources to provide accurate and timely data to support overall talent acquisition strategy and organizational talent needs.
- Provide innovative, scalable solutions to drive hiring to meet our business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies and initiatives which will drive the overall talent acquisition process, quality of hiring, and time-to-fill goals.
- Ensure cross-functional recruiting partners are managing to milestones and metrics while ensuring a collaborative partnership.
- Manage open positions on an as-needed basis.
- Manage and maintain job board postings.
- Maintains professional and ethical standards as prescribed by TPG's Program.
- Complies with agency and program policies and protocols.
- Performs related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice – management reserves the right to revise these duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum High School diploma.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, linguistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5-10 years of managing large recruitment programs placing candidates in specific locations across the country.
- Hands on experience with Workday or other HCMS/HRIS ATS.
- Experience in recruiting for language services programs (preferred).
- Demonstrated management ability with proactive approach to recruiting.
- Experienced in creating and presenting recruitment status reports.
- Highly motivated, creative, flexible, and results oriented.
- Extremely responsive to both internal and external clients and able to communicate recommendations to hiring managers based on knowledge of the markets, current trends, candidates, and talent strategies.
- Detail-oriented team player, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple, diverse projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Work Environment
This is a remote opportunity where occasional travel could be required. Since this is a remote role, must have a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position that typically works business hours Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on needs and may at times include travel, evenings, or weekends to meet specific project requirements.
Condition of Employment
- Complete a rigorous culture and competency testing process.
- Complete a Drug Test.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid U.S. Driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Tier 2.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- U.S. Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years.
Physical Demands
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
- Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
