Job description

Director of Finance 

Remote - US Preference for Columbus or East Coast 

Goodwin is seeking a Director of Finance to help us on our journey to build the world’s premier charter technology solutions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement processes for daily reconciliation with partners.
  • Oversee general accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Transition outsourced financial work in-house and build internal systems.
  • Collaborate with HR to audit W-2s, HSAs, and other employee financial records.
  • Manage inbound and outbound wire transactions.
  • Prepare and communicate the morning finance report, including credit card holds, reconciliation of inbound/outbound payments across channels, accounts receivable/payable management, and daily bookkeeping reconciliation.
  • Maintain the company’s profit and loss statements, forecast cash flow, and ensure accurate gap accounting.
  • Drive process development from 0:1, building scalable financial systems from the ground up.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage financial processes, including reconciliation and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in managing AR/AP, cash flow forecasting, and P&L maintenance.
  • Passion for finance, a self-starter attitude, and strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in early-stage startups, particularly in building financial systems from scratch.
  • Familiarity with aviation finance and Federal Excise Tax (FET).
  • Exposure to compliance and financial strategy.
