The Role

  • Associate Director, Strategic Finance & Corporate Valuation (SFCV) will report to the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Finance & Corporate Valuation
  • Support projects, initiatives, and analyses to inform strategic capital allocation and resourcing decisions
  • Support and lead financial modeling and valuation analyses for internal portfolio and growth initiatives
  • Analyze industry trends/themes and peer company developments and synthesize implications to Genmab’s business and equity value
  • Collaborate closely with other Finance team functions, Strategy & Corporate Development, Business Development & Licensing, R&D, Commercialization & Operations, Human Resources, and others
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external partners, including investment bankers, consultants, and auditors, among others

This is a hybrid role that requires being onsite 60% of the time in Princeton, NJ.


Responsibilities

  • Support SFCV’s goals & objectives aligned with the company’s overarching strategy and 2030 Vision
  • Support and drive financial modeling and perform valuation analyses for organic and inorganic growth opportunities
  • Track performance against plan for organic and inorganic growth initiatives to provide transparency and accountability together with FP&A
  • Report on industry trends and peer company developments, translate their impact on Genmab, and improve overall strategic decision-making quality
  • Support portfolio strategy and investment decisions through formal business case development and partnership with R&D, Commercialization & Operations, and Corporate & Business Development
  • Partner with Corporate & Business Development to support execution and implementation of strategic transactions
  • Support long range planning, corporate strategy development, implementation, and execution


Qualifications & Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or life sciences with requisite experience
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare-related financial services required
  • Prior healthcare investment banking experience highly preferred
  • Prior healthcare equity research experience with strong financial modeling skills also considered

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, corporate finance, and the capital markets
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the global biotech/pharma industry

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$176,000.00---$264,000.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
