Medical Director-Psychiatrist

Delaware
10-Hours Per Week-1099 Opportunity

Great moonlighting opportunity for General Psychiatrist or C&A Psychiatrist to serve in a Medical Director position assisting with policy and process development for the children’s behavioral health system in Delaware. 10 hours per week and will be processed as a 1099. Majority of work done remotely, some occasional on-site may be required.

Essential Duties:

Assisting with policy and process development and implementation for the children's behavioral health system consistent with best practice and CARF standards.
Provide psychiatric consultation to division staff and key stakeholders
Delivers training on medication, diagnosis, and other topics
Provides oversight of health care contracts including psychiatric prescribers and pharmacy consultants.
Reviews treatment service continued stay and discharge appeals and conducts quality assurance reviews of contracted prescribing services.
The position may provide direct psychiatric services to youth in DPBHS operated facilities including initial psychiatric evaluation and medication management on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate should be Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry.
Graduate from an approved School of Medicine.
Possess a Delaware medical license which is current, active and in good standing.
