Job Summary: The Renewals Manager is responsible for driving and managing the renewal process within the Customer Success Department at TradeCentric. This role ensures high customer retention by proactively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and positioning TradeCentric’s solutions to maximize value. The Renewals Manager partners closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and other internal stakeholders to develop renewal strategies, mitigate churn risks, and uncover growth opportunities.
The Renewals Manager serves as a trusted advisor to customers, advocating for their success while aligning TradeCentric’s solutions with their business objectives. This role is critical in maintaining long-term customer relationships, ensuring a seamless renewal process, and driving revenue retention and expansion.
Report to: VP of Customer Success
Pay Range: The target base salary for this position is up to $80,000, with total on-target earnings (OTE) of up to $120,000. The final OTE will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s location, experience, skills, expertise, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
Work Location: This role is 100% remote. While we prefer candidates based in the below city/states, we are open to considering candidates from other locations if you feel you meet the role’s qualifications. Essential Functions: Manage the end-to-end customer renewal process, ensuring timely execution and successful contract renewalsProactively engage with customers to understand their business goals, challenges, and future needsDevelop and execute renewal strategies to drive customer retention and minimize churnPartner with Customer Success Managers to identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accountsAnalyze customer usage data, feedback, and engagement levels to assess renewal risks and take corrective actionsCollaborate with internal teams to address customer concerns and ensure a smooth renewal experienceHelp Customer Success identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities as part of the renewal to maximize customer value and growth.Maintain accurate renewal forecasts and reporting, leveraging CRM tools to track renewal pipeline and performance metricsFacilitate contract negotiations and ensure alignment with customer expectations and company objectivesMaintain detailed records of all contract renewals, including correspondence and documentation related to negotiations.Collaborate closely with legal, finance, and operations departments to align contract renewals with company goals and objectives.Drive continuous improvement in the renewal process by gathering insights and refining best practicesAbility to own a large number of active deals, identify problems, and suggest solutions with process management, solid consultation skills, be financially savvyOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field 5+ years of experience in a renewals, customer success, account management, or sales role within the IT or SaaS industryStrong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription renewals, and customer retention strategiesProven ability to manage contract negotiations and renewal discussions with senior-level stakeholdersExceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong customer relationshipsData-driven mindset with the ability to analyze trends, forecast renewals, and identify risksProficiency in CRM and customer success tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Gainsight, or similar)Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex customer scenariosPreferred Qualifications/Experience: Experience working with enterprise-level customers in the procurement and/or e-commerce industryPrevious experience in a customer-facing role within a SaaS or B2B technology companyKnowledge of contract management and revenue recognition principlesThis role plays a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth, making the Renewals Manager a key contributor to TradeCentric’s success.
