Job Summary:
You will be Moonvalley’s first People person based in North America, reporting to our Senior People Operations Manager based in London UK, working in a very broad ranging role. Including working with our Talent Acquisition team to hire across the Americas, helping our managers to get the best out of their teams, looking after the day to day People needs of our local teams, and some wider operations responsibilities.
This role is based in Los Angeles, with an expectation of being in the office 3 days per week. The office is a fabulous studio space based in East Hollywood, the LA team is predominately office based (4-5 days per week) and you will also support remote workers across the globe.
What you’ll do (responsibilities)
Collaborate with the global People team to get the best out of our people
Support recruitment efforts (including carrying our screening calls)
Run payroll for US and Canadian entities
Advise on employment law matters
Be the go to person for all things People in LA/West Coast
Grow and develop the Moonvalley culture
What we’re looking for (qualifications)
The ideal candidate for this role should possess:
Proven capability in a broad People role
Experience in building People processes for efficiency and scale
Experience in fast growth companies
US and Canadian employment law knowledge
Experience working in DeepTech or Film will be looked highly upon
Familiarity with HRIS’s (we use Rippling)
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
