Job description

Title: Technical Editor

Location: Boise, ID

Job Type: Regular Full-Time

Technical Editors play a critical role in the success of our marketing and business development teams, directly reflecting Anchor QEA’s commitment to exceptional client service and high-quality products. Our editors are language experts, creating a collaborative space to provide marketing proposals, brochures, website and social media copy, and client presentations that provide error-free, grammatically correct content that considers the end reader. Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical editing of marketing and business development deliverables, including competitive pursuits, graphics, presentations, website and social media copy, and other deadline-driven marketing deliverables.
  • Ensure work products adhere to company brand, voice/tone, and quality standards.
  •  Actively participate in workload sharing with fellow editors, often across regions.
  • Engage in marketing efforts by reviewing RFPs/RFQs, coordinating development and review schedules, providing clear edits/comments, and verifying final compliance prior to submittal.
  • Provide additional marketing-related administrative support, such as file management, team correspondence, meeting facilitation, and workload planning.

 

What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional editing experience (experience in a technical field is a plus)
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure complete, compliant, on-time delivery of all deliverables
  • Superior time management skills, detail-oriented in a fast-paced working environment, and adept at prioritizing among multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Experience working with marketing or business development content
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word; proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, experience with InDesign and MS Teams and/or SharePoint is a plus

Salary and Other Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $56,500-$63,000 annually
  • Annual bonus
  • Other potential bonus types: spot bonus, milestone anniversary bonus, receiving professional license/certification bonus, employee referral bonus

 

Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:

  • Healthcare: Medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D insurance
  •  Paid Company and Floating Holidays: 7 paid company and 2 floating holidays annually
  • Vacation: 2 weeks accrued paid vacation based on length of service. Vacation may vary by level.
  • Sick and Safe Time: 80 hours annually
