 The Position

The Senior Systems Analyst performs complex business analysis and application development tasks, including requirements gathering, solutioning, testing, and managing projects of moderate to large size and scope. The role involves collaborating with various departments (e.g., clinical, intake, sales, compliance) and vendors, and effectively communicating with production, managerial, and executive teams. The Senior Systems Analyst will work closely with other systems team members to create and implement solutions.

• Perform requirements analysis that includes conferring with end users and workflow modeling to analyze current methods and operating procedures, identify problems, and document specific input and output requirements
• Prepare specifications and system function requirements including detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and business rules required to develop or modify system capabilities. 
• Independently review existing system capabilities, workflows, and limitations to determine if requested capability or modification is possible within existing configurations or systems.
• Develop and present alternative technical solutions and recommendations to stakeholders for the purpose of negotiating the best solution
• Create and run queries for testing or fulfilling management or client requests
• Develop test plans, identify, and create test cases, and conduct system and user testing for system changes and presents these changes for approval
• Manage medium to large projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and maintain project plans using project management software
• Lead design reviews and encourage participation and collaboration to ensure the design supports the use cases and meets user requirements
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously with high-quality results and sensitivity to deadlines.
• Collaborate with vendor resources to help build and support EMR solutions.
• Become a subject matter expert on multiple platforms and workflows across all departments and functions.
• Handle sensitive and protected business information with appropriate safeguards and confidentiality.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and system data requirements.
• Proven knowledge of relational databases and query tools.
• Experience in generating process documentation and reports.
• Experience with process design and optimization.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience in Financial Services/Insurance and/or Healthcare/Life Sciences.
• Experience using Salesforce.
• Experience with EMR implementation, support, and reporting on an enterprise EMR platform in a healthcare setting preferred.

PHYSICAL EFFORT & WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed remotely (home office) or in a normal office setting in our Overland Park, KS headquarters with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer.
