Job Title: LATAM Accountant
Location: Remote (Must be based in Latin America)

Work Schedule: Flexible based on executive needs, typically Monday to Friday

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced accountant based in Latin America to support U.S.-based businesses with financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a recognized accounting certification (e.g., CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent in their country) and at least 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of international accounting standards, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, or country-specific regulations).
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Oversee invoicing and reconciliation processes.
  • Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with LATAM tax regulations and assist with audits.
  • Use QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline financial processes.
  • Work closely with U.S. teams to align financial operations across multiple regions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications (Mandatory)
  • Must be located in Latin America and have a strong understanding of LATAM tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Accounting certification is required (e.g., CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent in your country).
  • 3-5 years of professional accounting experience in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and LATAM-specific financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently, managing multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Experience working with U.S. companies or handling cross-border financial transactions.
  • Background in financial auditing or tax consulting.
