Job description

Are you a data enthusiast with a knack for uncovering insights and driving business transformation?  

 

Join our dynamic Data Office team as a Data Analyst and play a pivotal role in supporting Marketing & Communications and Human Resources.  As a Data Analyst, you will be at the heart of our data-driven decision making process.   Your mission will be to develop and monitor key metrics, analyze data, and generate insightful reports and dashboards that empower our leadership and teams to make informed decisions and continuously improve our business operations.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Reporting & Dashboard Development: 
    1. Lead initiatives on report and insights development and delivery, collaborating with leadership, lines of business, the Chief Data Office and cross functional analytics teams 
    2. Create and maintain performance dashboards and reports supporting self-serve, real-time access to employee and customer insights, strategic objective KPIs, campaign ROI analytics and other performance metrics 
    3. Collaborate with stakeholders to thoroughly understand reporting and dashboard requirements
    4. Generate and distribute established reports on a regular basis according to business need
    5. Effectively research and utilize all available technology to produce dashboards and reports to meet business needs
  • Data Management & Analysis: 
    1. Partner with the Chief Data Office, Financial Systems, Human Resources, Marketing and other stakeholders on data management, self-service reporting tools and analytics projects 
    2. Explore and analyze data creatively to identify analytic solutions utilizing disparate systems in support of the strategic decision-making process
    3. Prepare presentations to effectively communicate analysis, identification of trends or patterns, and recommendations for dashboard and report requirements to leadership, technical and non-technical audiences
    4. Establish processes and procedures for extracting, cleaning, compiling, analyzing, and presenting data to stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
    5. Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in data management and analysis

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Required Education & Experience
    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems or a related field 
    2. At least 2 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, preferably with the banking or financial services industry 
    3. Proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
    4. Demonstrated ability in working with large complex data sets, querying data, extracting data, translating data, and transforming data into customer insights, quality consolidated reports and dashboards
    5. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, macros), and the willingness to learn new and existing company-specific software applications
    6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights
    7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey data findings to non-technical stakeholders
    8. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Preferred Skills/Experience
    1. Experience with data warehousing like Snowflake
    2. Experience working with human resources, sales, and marketing data
