Job description

Pursuit Observability & Log Management - Regional Director

The Sumo Logic Enterprise Sales team is seeking an outstanding leader with a track record of building and growing revenues within the Observability and Log Management space. This is a key role within the organization, with a charter of increasing revenues and opportunities through mentoring and guiding a group of sales professionals within an assigned geography partnered with the generalist sales team.

What you will be doing:

  • Directly manage a logs BDR team (5-6 AEs) with a focus on building pipeline 
  • Work closely with the supported Regional Directors, technical resources (SEs), and Inside Sales Teams
  • Capitalizing on your management & coaching skills, you bring strategy, planning, and experience as you join your team in their sales efforts
  • Manage region’s day-to-day operations, including recruitment, retention, and performance management, employee development, and enablement
  • Work with Finance on sales team P&L and Operations forecasting

 What we need you to bring:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience building, training, and leading top-notch enterprise sales teams within the SaaS vertical
  • SDR Experience a plus
  • 5+ years of experience primarily in direct sales but also channel sales to enterprise accounts
  • Deep experience selling a complex SaaS offering to IT Ops and/or DevOps leaders.
  • Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management
  • A sales track record of leading teams to exceed quota objectives
  • Strong communication skills and a polished approach to management and sales
  • Ability to forecast sales accurately and a commitment to achieve those figures
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or relevant experience

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) such as role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings.
