Job Description

As the Accountant for this innovative company, you will be at the forefront of financial system implementation and management. Your primary focus will be on setting up and optimizing QuickBooks, ensuring seamless integration of historical financial data, and establishing robust accounting processes. You’ll work closely with the existing accounting team and management, providing valuable financial insights that will drive business decisions. Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the implementation of QuickBooks, tailoring the system to meet the company’s unique needs
  • Develop and maintain efficient financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Analyze financial data and prepare insightful reports to guide strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with the existing accounting team to streamline workflows and improve financial operations
  • Provide expert recommendations on financial best practices and process improvements
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations, implementing changes as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a track record of success in financial management
  • Proven expertise in QuickBooks (both online and desktop versions) and ability to set up the system from scratch
  • Strong knowledge of US accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a requirement
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Experience in handling historical financial data and integrating it into new accounting systems
  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
