Backend Developer

This is a remote position.

Job Description: As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic of our e-commerce platforms. You will work closely with our frontend developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

• Develop and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs.
  
• Set up and manage server environments to ensure high availability and scalability.
  
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate various tools using APIs and Webhooks.
  
• Optimize application performance and ensure fast response times.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and bugs.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development.
  

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of proven experience as a back-end developer or in a similar role.
  
• Strong proficiency in server setup and management.
  
• Experience with API development and integration using REST and GraphQL.
  
• Proficiency in Node.js backend programming language.
  
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in the last 3 years
  
• Experience with server-side tagging
  
• Experience with Shopify QL
  
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
  
• Understanding of security best practices in backend development
