Senior Legal Counsel - Legal Real Estate (all genders)

About the role

We are looking for a colleague for our Legal Team in Berlin. In this role...

• You will accompany all construction development projects of the GROPYUS group
• You will support stakeholders in our Development and Execution Teams in their daily work (advice on various required legal matters, from drafting and negotiating construction-related planning and execution contracts under consideration of GROPYUS’ proprietary building system and smart building operating system, supporting due diligences of new properties with regard to construction law topics, to setting up suitable project structures with a focus on GROPYUS as a general contractor)
• You will provide advice on Construction and Architects’ law and general commercial law
• You will partner with other counsel in our Legal Team, with colleagues in the areas of Compliance, Finance, Building System Development, and various business areas

Challenges

As we aim to reshape an entire industry, we work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The tasks within this role are versatile, and therefore the ability to identify priorities autonomously is required. You should feel comfortable in making decisions and show good judgment.

About You

• You are a fully qualified German lawyer (both state exams)
• You gained 3+ years of post-qualification work experience in the area of Construction and Architects’ Law, ideally in a leading law firm or as an In-House Counsel
• You have an excellent command of English and German, both written and verbal, including the ability to read and draft legal documents
• You bring technical skills paired with sound judgment on what risks the company can bear
• You succeed in a working environment that promotes ownership, sustainability, and appreciation
