About the Role

The Associate Counsel (Privacy & Health Technology) provides comprehensive legal support with a primary focus on complex contract review, negotiation, and privacy matters for our digital health/wellness technology operations. This role ensures robust privacy protections and efficient contracting processes while managing high-volume contract reviews.

Who You Are

You excel in contract management and privacy, offering strategic legal guidance and efficient review processes. You will rebuild and maintain critical contract frameworks and privacy programs, partnering with the compliance team on regulatory matters. Your expertise in healthcare contracting, privacy regulations, and commercial agreements is essential for handling high-volume contract reviews efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial agreements (SOWs, MSAs, NDAs, BAAs, data privacy agreements).
  • Support privacy and healthcare regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Provide legal review of product features and marketing materials.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and advise on insurance billing and reimbursement.
  • Manage legal documentation, contract processes, and contract management systems.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks.
  • Lead partner compliance monitoring programs and privacy incident response.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and support regulatory matters.
  • Monitor and analyze contract performance metrics and maintain contract databases

What You'll Need

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 3-7 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Active bar license in good standing.
  • Significant experience reviewing and negotiating healthcare and insurance contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume contract reviews efficiently.
  • Strong background in privacy law and healthcare regulations.
  • Experience with value-based care arrangements and insurance reimbursement models.
  • Track record of successful contract negotiations with health insurance companies.
