Job description

Title: AR Manager

Location: USA/Remote

Reports to: Director of Accounts Receivable 

FLSA Classification: Exempt 

Full-Time

Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 

* Starting pay varies based on location and experience, in compliance with specific state wage regulations.  Competitive rates tailored to your geography and expertise.   

 

Position Overview: This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the AR aging/follow-up for our anesthesia service group. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Designing and implementing workflow improvements 
  • Work with a team to target and implement relevant policies and procedures.
  • Interacting with staff and resolve issues escalated by the team
  • Assist Director in identifying efficiencies related to accounts receivable management / revenue cycle management, and be able to interface with insurance payers and clearinghouse. 
  • Monitor and review data to predict potential payer issues, rules, and delays. 
  • Prepare and report to upper management on status of efforts related to key departmental metrics 
  • Ensure that month end process deadlines are met and key information provided to the Director in a timely manner
  • Ensure staff audits are completed and results discussed with direct reports 
  • Communicate the progress of the team relative to our strategy, goals and objectives highlighting our accomplishments and challenges. 
  • Work closely with department supervisor to set team goals and rewards for a staff of approximately 20 people.

Requirements/Qualifications: 

 

  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and simplified approach 
  • Effectively manage and coach geographically dispersed teams to meet goals. 
  • Communicate the progress of the team relative to our strategy, goals and objectives highlighting our accomplishments and challenges. 
  • Ability to work in a complex organization and collaborate to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs 
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in AR follow-up work required 
  • Minimum 2 years management experience required
  • Preferred experience in Anesthesia Billing and Revenue Cycle
