Overview:
The HR Generalist at Oak View Group will have a broad scope of responsibilities, from new account hiring and recruiting support, employee benefits and compensation communication, labor law and regulation compliance and other duties as assigned.
This position will support the OVG People Operations team in all aspects of administrative and strategic HR functions working closely with Business Partner team to focus on proactive employee relations and field support for venues in need of HR assistance. Works closely with other departments in People and Culture department and throughout OVG.
This role will pay a yearly salary of $70,000 to $90,000.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws.
- Maintain knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
- Under the guidance of senior HR team, investigate complaints and manage initial employee relations issues, including documentation, resolution recommendations, disciplinary actions, policy enforcement, and terminations.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Explain and provide information on employee benefits, advise on benefit needs, and help resolve benefit issues..
- Assist with employee development and performance improvement plans.
- Handle all administrative onboarding tasks including meeting with new hires to review new hire paperwork, review benefits information, answer questions, and ensure an exceptional first-day experience.
- Provide policy and procedure guidance and interpretation to employees and business leaders.
- Maintain employee records, track HR metrics, and produce reports utilizing the HRIS system.
- Act as liaison between Corporate HR functions and the field, answer questions and sharing feedback.
- Provide support and guidance to the People Operations Transition Lead with the recruitment process.
- Liaison with the Corporate People Operations team to support and manage strategic initiatives.
- Assists with special HR projects, as directed by the VP-HR.
- Provide general administrative support to OVG People Operations team

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts / Sciences degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related major or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Minimum 4+ years diversified HR experience
- Specialized professional training a plus (PHR or SPHR preferred)
- Ability to adhere to highest standards of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality;
- Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) applications;
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment/labor laws and regulations;
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
- Solid organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks; project management skills;
- Ability to represent oneself and the company in a professional and positive manner in all situations;
- Working knowledge of HR best practices, including industry-specific HR best practices
