Biocodex is a French family-owned pharmaceutical company headquartered in Gentilly, near Paris, France. The company was founded in 1953 to develop and market the world’s first probiotic yeast strain, Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745®, discovered in 1923.

Orphan diseases for patients with severe orphan pathologies around the world, such as DIACOMIT®, which is indicated for the treatment of Dravet syndrome, a rare and very severe form of epilepsy in children
Women’s health with the Saforelle® brand for women of all ages.

In order to accompany the growth of Biocodex, we are looking for a: National Director, Sales.

The US subsidiary's headquarters is in Bedminster but position can be remote if not local to NJ.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The National Director of Sales is a leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving the sales strategy and execution for a pharmaceutical company. This role involves leading the sales team, developing and implementing sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The National Director of Sales will work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, finance, and finance. The National Director of Sales will establish work standards that are aligned with Biocodex’s culture, vision, and values, and will align sales efforts with overall business objectives while adhering to all compliance and promotional guidelines.

• Sales Strategy Development: o Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives and sales targets o Identifying & Implementing gaps in field commercial & working closely with sales training to augment training & elevate performance o Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth o Set sales goals and objectives in alignment with the company's strategic plan

• Team Leadership and Management: o Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team o Provide leadership, mentorship, & coaching to field representatives o Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement development plans for team members

• Sales Operations: o Oversee the development and execution of sales plans and initiatives o Monitor sales activities, pipeline management, and forecasting to ensure targets are met o Implement and manage sales processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness

• Customer Relationship Management: o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, healthcare providers, and stakeholders o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly o Develop strategies to enhance customer engagement and loyalty

• Collaboration and Communication: o Work closely with marketing to align sales and promotional activities o Collaborate with product development to provide market feedback and support new product launches o Communicate sales performance, insights, and recommendations to senior management

• Budget and Financial Management: o Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources o Monitor and report on sales performance against budget and forecast o Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize profitability

• Compliance and Ethics: o Ensure sales activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards o Promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior within the sales team

• Leadership: Proven track record of leading and managing a successful sales team

• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics

• Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

• Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to achieve & exceed sales targets.

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges

QUALIFICATIONS
Educational background:

BS/BA degree required, ideally in business/marketing/healthcare/life sciences or MBA or other advanced degree preferred


Professional experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role.


Technical masteries: CRM Software and other relevant tools
