The Sales Operations Analyst will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the efficiency of the sales team by providing data-driven insights, optimizing processes, and ensuring smooth execution of sales strategies. This position involves analyzing sales data, reporting on performance metrics, and working cross-functionally with other departments to improve sales operations and outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities 

Data Analysis & Reporting: 

  • Analyze and interpret sales data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. 
  • Create and maintain regular sales performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for sales leadership and other stakeholders. 
  • Monitor sales pipeline health, conversion rates, win/loss analysis, and forecast accuracy. 
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve sales performance, productivity, and efficiency. 

Sales Process Optimization: 

  • Collaborate with sales operations leadership to evaluate and streamline sales processes, systems, and tools. 
  • Identify bottlenecks in the sales cycle and suggest solutions to improve efficiency. 
  • Support the development and implementation of new sales processes and tools to enhance the sales team's effectiveness. 

Sales Forecasting & Planning Support: 

  • Assist in the creation of accurate sales forecasts, ensuring that key assumptions are tracked and updated as needed. 
  • Provide input into sales account level planning as part of the monthly consensus process. 
  • Track and measure the performance of sales initiatives and campaigns, recommending adjustments when necessary. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Partner with demand planning, finance, strategic sales and strategic operations teams to align sales strategies with broader business goals. 
  • Provide support to the sales team to drive internal alignment and resolution of any operational challenges. 

Ad-Hoc Analysis & Special Projects: 

  • Conduct special projects as requested by sales operations leadership to support business initiatives or strategic decisions. 
  • Provide on-demand analysis and support for any issues or opportunities that arise. 

 

Requirements 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field required.   

Experience: 

  • 2-4 years of experience in sales operations, sales analytics, or a related field. 
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other sales tools (e.g. Domo, QV, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms). 
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights. 
  • Solid understanding of sales processes, metrics, and KPIs. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
