Business Development Manager (Staffing Industry)

Job Title: Business Development Manager
Reports To: Director of Sales/CEO
Location: Fully Remote
Job Type: Full-Time



Job Summary

The Business Development Manager for the staffing business is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing leads, and overseeing marketing initiatives. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional who can develop effective strategies for acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and delivering tailored staffing solutions.



Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

  • Identify and target potential clients in need of remote staffing solutions across various industries.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns.

2. Lead Management and Marketing Programs

  • Manage and nurture incoming leads generated through marketing programs, referrals, and networking.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that drive lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies to improve results.
  • Conduct outbound marketing to generate leads.  This includes email marketing, LinkedIn, and cold calling.

3. Strategies for Finding New Clients

  • Develop and implement creative strategies for identifying and acquiring new clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, industry demands, and potential business opportunities.
  • Leverage professional networks, events, and social media platforms to expand the client base.
  • Create customized staffing proposals that address the unique needs of prospective clients.

4. Revenue Growth and Performance Management

  • Meet and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor sales performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of staffing services.

5. Collaboration with Recruitment Teams

  • Work closely with the recruitment team to align client requirements with candidate profiles.
  • Participate in candidate selection discussions when necessary to ensure client satisfaction.


Requirements

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the staffing or recruitment industry.
  • Proven track record of managing leads and executing marketing programs to generate business opportunities.
  • Experience developing and implementing client acquisition strategies.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of staffing services, including temporary, permanent, and contract placements.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • In-depth knowledge in formulating and executing corporate or B2B sales strategies
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, marketing tools, and sales analytics platforms.
  • Neutral accent with clear and professional communication skills to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule.
