Job description

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Account Specialist to join our client for a remote opportunity! This position supports the client’s team goals and objectives by handling all aspects of billing, from setup to termination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers up to $24/Hour!

Essential Functions:

Handle customer billing for Newport Retirement Services, including setup, change notice processing, review, corrections, maintenance, billing, and termination.
Generate on-demand invoices as needed.
Research and resolve billing inquiries in a timely manner.
Utilize the ticket system to manage tasks and meet company response time guidelines.
Investigate, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
Prepare adjustments related to billing functions and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Maintain data integrity in fee application, CRM, and accounting systems pertaining to customer accounts and billing.
Provide support for aged receivables.
Assist with month-end close procedures.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Demonstrate proficiency in accounting software, external partner sites, and recordkeeping software.
Be willing to work flexible hours to meet important financial deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality of client information.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with at least an intermediate user level in Excel.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Two years of experience in the financial services industry, billing, or accounting.
