Account Manager DIY

- home-office based in North-East Spain / Catalonia -

DUMAPLAST is listed in one of the biggest DIY chains in Spain & Portugal. The focus of this job is to execute the roll-out of the merchandising and POS plan within the DIY shops and to generate additional sales through cross- and upselling.

Your role

▪ Manage the existing customer base in Spain (Portugal optional) and train the sales teams in the shops on the wide range of our waterproof wall covering solutions

▪ Support the customers in the roll-out of our products to their shops across Iberia

▪ Make sure, that the POS layout is in line with the DUMAPLAST merchandising strategy (incl. pricing policy)

▪ Provide technical trainings and implement show case

▪ Identify and capitalize on cross- and upselling opportunities on shop-level

▪ Provide frequent feedback from the field and weekly reports to the sales management

▪ Closely cooperate with the Belgian sales management and marketing team

Requirements:

▪ 2+ years of practical experience in Sales or Merchandising in the building materials industry, ideally with knowledge of the DIY segment

▪ A high level of independence, self-starter attitude and the desire to learn

▪ Strong hands-on approach, technical understanding and good presentation skills

▪ Pro-active sales mentality and a structured self-organisation

▪ Good command of MS-Office tools

▪ Business fluent in Spanish and good English (mandatory)

▪ The willingness to travel across Spain (± 3 hotel nights per week)
