We are a dynamic private company that owns and manages multiple entities featuring an online subscription-based revenue model looking for a Vice President of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of our business. This pivotal role will focus on financial strategy, scalability, and fraud mitigation.
This is a hybrid-position located in Orlando. We work in-office two days a week and work from home the remaining days.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to support growth across multiple entities.
- Provide expert financial analysis and insights to guide decision-making at the executive level.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Establish the most tax efficient organizational structure to accommodate inter/intracompany transactions amongst related parties.
- Evaluate the financial viability of new projects and ideas.
- Develop action plans to address existing and anticipated financial challenges.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage all aspects of financial planning and analysis, including budget, forecasting, and revenue production.
- Manage cash flow and capital allocation strategies to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Fraud Mitigation:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to identify and prevent financial fraud.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with best practices and regulations.
- Monitor transaction patterns and audit financial systems to detect and address potential risks proactively.
- Process Optimization:
- Design and implement scalable financial systems and processes to support growth, including that of new entities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including international finance laws.
- Coordinate with tax advisors and legal professionals on cross-border financial matters.
- Accounting Supervision:
- Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Work with the accounting team to establish robust internal controls and reporting standards.
Requirements and Experience
- Proven experience as a VP of Finance or similar role
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or as a Financial controller
- Strong understanding of subscription models and ASC 606 compliance
- Experience managing finance, accounting, and intercompany transactions for multiple entities
- Proven ability to track and analyze financial KPIs for strategic decisions
- Skilled in managing, mentoring and collaborating with hybrid or fully remote teams
- Extensive knowledge of US tax regulations
- International trust knowledge (highly desired)
- Familiarity with high-transaction, data-driven, or compliance-heavy industries
- Experience building and scaling financial systems in high-growth environments.
- Strong change management, project management, and communication skills
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred but not required.
