About the People Team
Our People Operations team is growing to help scale and optimize the People function at Wealthsimple! As an HR Data and Analytics Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in advancing exciting projects while providing analytical and operational support across the business. The HRIS team has already elevated the organization with the successful implementation of Workday and the ongoing growth of our HR technology stack. However, this is just the beginning of our Workday journey, and we’re looking for someone to make a significant impact on the future of HR data, reporting, and analytics at Wealthsimple. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Data Governance: Establish and maintain HR data governance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.HR Metrics & Analytics: Define, align, and improve HR metrics, identifying gaps and future needs. Develop reports and dashboards using Workday and other tools to provide actionable insights.Custom Reporting: Develop and maintain simple to complex reports utilizing Workday and additional data sources to deliver clear, insightful reports and dashboards. Develop and automate HR data analysis by building data models and creating visualizations to support effective storytelling and decision-making.Tooling & Implementation: Research and evaluate HR analytics tools, supporting business cases for implementation.Testing & Documentation: Test system updates and features, and create comprehensive documentation, including user guides and data dictionaries.Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in data quality, reporting, and analytics while identifying opportunities for optimization.Project Support: Assist in the planning, testing, and rollout of HR tech related projects
What we're looking for: Relevant Work Experience: Experience in HR Analytics, HR Operations, or HR Data Management.3+ years of experience working with HR systems, including Workday reporting and analytics, with exposure to tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.Proven experience building, maintaining, and enhancing HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide actionable insights.Strong understanding of HR processes, data governance, and workforce analytics.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools.Comfortable working with large data sets, identifying trends, and generating clear insights.Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.Resourceful and adaptable, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and create structure where needed.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring clarity and alignment with stakeholders.Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating accountability, initiative, and a mindset of continuous improvement.Passion for learning and developing new skills in HR data, reporting, and analytics tools.Why Wealthsimple?
