GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity to provide polymer Food & Beverage and Chemical expertise with support to the ChemTreat field sales representatives as needed throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America, making a difference in water quality and applying your industrial technical experience in wastewater! You can work remotely from any location, traveling throughout the continental U.S. The position will require extensive travel defined as 65% – 75% of the year to support field sales activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide field sales technical assistance and product recommendations. This includes plant surveys, proposal preparation, sales presentations, application testing and customer/prospect entertainment.
  • Applying knowledge of polymer chemistry and polymer uses and testing procedures. 
  • Provide expertise to ChemTreat sales representatives in product screening and treatment program selection, the application of chosen treatment programs, and in troubleshooting treatment programs to meet the customer’s cost and performance objectives in the area of Food & Beverage.
  • Travel throughout the continental U.S. on an average of three days/two nights per week.
  • Provide field troubleshooting and technical assistance as required. This assistance includes problem solving, sales representative on-site training, operator training, and equipment inspections.
  • Oversee continued development and management of odor control product line.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in field seminars, entertainment outings, and new account startup as directed by your manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Arts/Sciences or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields is required.
  • Ten+ years of field experience in water and wastewater treatment will be considered as an equivalent to a four-year degree
  • 10 or more years’ experience with a major water treatment company.
  • Technical and in-depth knowledge in one or more key industries, including Chemical, Refining, and Food & Beverage

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell
  • Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards.
  • Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for deliveries which may include; eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.
  • Occasionally in extreme heat conditions
  • Required to use ear plugs for hearing protection
  • Both Indoor and outdoor sites may have high noise levels
  • Site location may be at a boiler house
  • Outdoor site can be located at a cooling tower, water plant, wastewater plant, or a process area.
  • Use of hazardous chemicals is routine.
  • Collaborative working environment working; position touches all levels within the customer organization

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 USD per year. 

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
