What are we looking for?

We’re seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support our vision of leveraging a cloud-native data platform to drive decision-making and enhance customer experiences. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy solving complex data challenges, and have a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions, this role is for you.

What are you expected to do?

As a Data Engineer, you will:

  • Provide ongoing support for our Data Platform, ensuring its reliability and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain the quality, freshness, and reliability of data assets.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and end-to-end data quality of our data platforms.
  • Analyse and resolve root causes of production and environment issues, addressing them in a timely manner.
  • Clearly and proactively communicate platform status with stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Manage incidents end-to-end, from monitoring and identifying issues to resolution and post-incident communication.
  • Collaborate with the wider data and technology teams to resolve issues, provide impact analysis, and ensure seamless operations of the platform.
  • Review and approve pull requests to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Ensure the platform adheres to data security and compliance best practices.

What sets this job apart?

  • Work with a modern, cloud-native data platform and cutting-edge technologies like Databricks, Airflow, Spark, and DBT.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to meaningful and impactful data-driven decisions.
  • Be part of a forward-thinking organization where data sits at the heart of our strategy.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You have 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, particularly in cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • You have hands-on experience supporting cloud-native data platforms and working with modern data technologies.
  • You excel in problem-solving and have strong analytical skills.
  • You have proven experience with SQL, Python, databases, and data governance technologies.
  • You are skilled in building and maintaining robust data pipelines, secure data stores, and resilient distributed systems.
  • You have experience working with data orchestration (e.g., Airflow), Databricks/Notebooks, and DBT ecosystems.
  • You are familiar with Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.
  • You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We will be absolutely thrilled if you also have the following:

  • You have experience scaling enterprise-grade Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
  • You have a solid track record in designing highly technical architectures and simplifying them for non-technical audiences.
  • You have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for data infrastructure.
  • You are skilled in monitoring and scaling distributed systems for both streaming and batch processing.

Here are the benefits of joining our team:

  • Competitive salary and professional development
  • Collaborative client partnerships and a fun, inclusive work environment
  • Opportunities for leadership, expertise, and global client exposure
  • Monthly coaching, training, and career development
