Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

• Berekening van “Safety Integrity Level” (SIL) en Performance Level (PL).
• Overleg met de gespecialiseerde afdelingen over technische oplossingen.
• Opstellen van documentatie voor functionele veiligheid.
• Onderzoek van de implementatie van veiligheidsfuncties (hardware en software).
• Evaluatie van hardware- en softwareoplossingen volgens functionele veiligheidsspecificaties.
• Afspraken met externe experts en autoriteiten.

Wat vragen we van jou

• Master- of bachelordiploma in elektrotechniek of computerwetenschappen of vergelijkbaar met relevante werkervaring.
• Kennis van ISO 13849, IEC 61508 en ISO 12100 (risicobeoordeling).
• Kennis van industriële besturingssystemen in combinatie met een goed begrip van algemene technische concepten.
• Sterke assertiviteit en doel- en oplossingsgerichtheid.
• Goede presentatie- en communicatievaardigheden.
• Technisch en zakelijk vloeiend Engels.
• Functional Safety Engineer volgens ISO 13849 is een pré.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Functional Safety Engineer.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Calculation of "Safety Integrity Level" (SIL) and Performance Level (PL).
• Consultation with the specialist departments on technical solutions.
• Preparation of documentation for functional safety.
• Examination of the implementation of security functions (hardware and software).
• Evaluation of hardware and software solutions according to functional safety specifications.
• Agreements with external experts and authorities.

What we ask of you

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science or comparable with relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 13849, IEC 61508 and ISO 12100 (risk assessment).
• Knowledge of industrial control systems coupled with a solid understanding of general engineering concepts.
• Strong assertiveness as well as goal- and solution-oriented action.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Technical and business-fluent English.
• Functional Safety Engineer according to ISO 13849 is an advantage.
