Job description

This is a remote position.

About Teams Squared:

We are a team augmentation company dedicated to connecting exceptional remote talent with global organizations.

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson and a proven track record of collaborating with Australian architects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, extensive experience using ArchiCad and a deep understanding of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Drafting: Create accurate and detailed architectural drawings, plans, and blueprints using ArchiCad in accordance with the specifications provided by architects and project managers.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the design and construction process.

Code Compliance: Ensure all drawings and plans comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and Australian standards.

Project Support: Assist in project research, site visits, and the preparation of documentation required for planning approvals and permits.

Software Proficiency: Utilize Archicad to create and edit drawings. Other experience utilizing industry-standard drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) to create and edit drawings is a plus.

Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews and checks of drawings to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies.

Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and records.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Draftsperson in the architecture or construction industry.
Proficiency in Archicad with extensive experience in creating detailed architectural drawings.
Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in drafting work.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
A diploma or degree in architectural drafting or a related field is preferred.
