Compensation: $85,000-$95,000
Location: This is a remote position; however, it is required that candidates must be based in either the Los Angeles area or the San Francisco Bay Area (SF).

About RAINN
RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense (DoD). RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, educate the public, help organizations improve their prevention and response programs, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
Corporate Responsibility Focus:
The Corporate Manager will lead efforts to build and sustain corporate partnerships that support RAINN’s mission. This includes securing corporate grants, fostering cause marketing opportunities, and driving financial contributions and strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of corporate development experience and two to three years in major gifts fundraising, with expertise in managing the entire corporate giving process and leveraging networks to secure funding and raise awareness for RAINN’s services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Institutional Giving to develop partnerships with current and prospective corporate and foundation partners.
- Work with the Director of Institutional Giving and the Development Manager, Data and Analytics to determine annual projections for corporations.
- Work with the Development Manager, Data and Analytics, to maintain the integrity of the organization’s database to track corporate activities and funding.
- Maintain and develop a proposal and reporting calendar to ensure timely reporting on existing grants and submission of proposals.
- Conduct research and prospect for new corporate partners.
- Identify, develop and execute annual plans focused on cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies and initiatives of key corporate partnerships in support of stated yearly revenue and activity goals.
- Write and personally present cases for support and solicitation proposals to prospective partners and sponsors; write and facilitate terms of agreements; close gift agreements.
- Identify cause marketing partners and create marketing materials for potential cause marketing partners and close those partnerships.
- Manage and grow workplace giving campaigns and corporate matching gifts.
- Prospect and solicit, steward potential Corporate Sponsors for Walk and other events.
- Identify and solicit in-kind gifts and manage the in-kind gift process including tracking and reporting with finance and other programs.
- Work with the Development Associate to draft profiles of prospective and current corporate partners including key employees before meetings.
- Steward corporate partners, including relationship building, networking, and report writing.
- Keep abreast of all program areas at RAINN to identify new funding possibilities and to update current funders.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the Development program and advance RAINN’s fundraising goals.
Position Specifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar corporate marketing/development position.
- 3 years of experience with corporate development experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; conscious of the intersectional nature of power, privilege, and oppression in the sexual violence space.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; can set priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- Analytical and metrics-driven manager who is comfortable leveraging data to inform programmatic decisions and assess effectiveness.
- Creative mindset able to create cause marketing ideas that benefit corporations and RAINN
- Understanding of corporate and relationship building.
- Working knowledge of Every Action, Wealth Engine and Rel-Sci platform preferred.
- Experience working in a nonprofit environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- High level of motivation and assertiveness; self-starter.
- Ability to travel as necessary (up to 50%).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven time management and organizational skills.
- Highly creative, flexible, and adaptable.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Discretion when dealing with sensitive information and ability to discuss issues surrounding sexual violence.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check (administered by RAINN).

- The person in this position needs to regularly move about inside the office to access cabinets, office equipment, etc.

- Must have vision correctable to a level where an individual can operate a computer, visualize text on a computer monitor.
RAINN headquarters are in Washington, DC. This position may be based regionally for someone whose residence is within the continental USA. Although this may be a remote role, it may require periodic business travel to our DC offices for on-site meetings and training sessions.
