Job description

This is a remote position.

Project Description:

The client requires Information Technology (IT) professional resources to provide Senior Project Management services for the project delivery of the IMT ministry projects for Modernization and Enhancement of Service Delivery within ministry of Technology and Innovation.


Duties:


• Coordinate project activities and work with all stakeholders and vendors to ensure a highly coordinated and effective approach to planning and implementation of the Technology and Innovation IMT Project;
• Support other project teams and business areas within Technology and Innovation and stakeholders that are dependent on the Technology and Innovation IMT Project Implementation Initiatives;
• Plan and attend regularly occurring status meetings with team members to track progress, issues, and assignment of action items;
• Manage dependencies, key milestones, and risks for the Technology and Innovation IMT Project Implementation Initiatives;
• Create and deliver presentations using Microsoft products (e.g. PowerPoint) in support of the initiative as requested by the Director, Portfolio Development;
• Prepare briefing notes using Technology and Innovation Templates and Microsoft Word as required;
• Provide assistance and expertise in reviewing and negotiating service requests with the vendor to ensure business needs are met and that Technology and Innovation is receiving good value;
• Advise the Director, Portfolio Delivery on all Technology and Innovation IMT Project Implementation Initiatives matter as they relate to Technology and Innovation.




Requirements

Must Have :

Work Experience

·       Experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.

·       Experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases.

·       Experience in a project management role.

·       Experience in the design, development and implementation of complex IT solutions.

·       Experience managing custom application development projects

·       Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.

·       Experience working as a Project Manager on a large complex custom software.

 

Nice to Have

 Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification as issued by the Project Management.

Technical Skills

Understanding of First Responders Radio Communications System and project.

Work Experience

 

·       Experience creating and managing project forecast and actual budgets.

·       Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships…

·       Experience exercising resourcefulness when making recommendations on highly technical.

·       Experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.

·       Experience leading change management and communication planning.

·       Experience leading custom software application development projects following a formal..

·       Experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues.

·       Experience using MS Project tools in a project server environment.

·       Experience working in a team environment - with staff, contractors and vendor teams.

·       Experience working in or for the public sector.

·       Experience working with information management and cyber security policies, directives.
