Job Description
Note: While primarily remote, this position requires visits to our Richmond, VA office every other week.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products and services on the Richmond Capital Region (RCR) project in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion (or successful transition), for the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services.
Coordinate and lead departmental or cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication to achieve project goals.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
Track and evaluate project performance against established metrics, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed defined quality standards.
Participate in regular project review and status meetings, providing clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels.
Utilize Six Sigma and other project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to optimize project effectiveness and efficiency.
Motivate and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification and Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Expertise in various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
Target Base Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $217,600.00 USD
